Talking about the transition period, head coach Kalen DeBoer said, “I know people are well aware that Kane and the defense have utilized his thoughts, just understanding a few things and trying to help with that transition.”
Even as DeBoer leads the charge, Saban’s influence resonates within Alabama, he still enjoys mentorship and is on the team’s sounding board, offering valuable insights and guidance to the coaching staff. Talking about training his quarterbacks he said, “It’s making sure you can let them play fast, all the things we just talked about a quarterback doing the same thing with those positions, but also using you know all the tactics and the schemes and the pieces to disguise and give you that even one more step.” As Alabama gears up for the new season, how well do you think they are going too far with the fusion of methods from DeBoer and Saban while revitalizing the defense?
