Deion Sanders has amazed the college football world with the effect he’s had since joining the University of Colorado. He has taken the football program to new heights, without even the team having played a single NCAA game yet. His effect was in full view when the Buffaloes played a spring game recently. And that has already brought up the talk of his next job, despite joining Colorado just four months ago.

The Colorado spring football game drew massive crowds to watch Coach Prime’s Buffaloes. The whole stadium as well as the fans sitting at home were all hyped up to watch the start of a new era. And according to an NFL insider, Sanders is on the path to bagging a better job soon.

According to NFL Insider Mike Florio, Deion Sanders’ stint in Colorado might just be a prologue of the whole tale. He has asked the fans to enjoy while Sanders is still in Boulder as, according to him, it won’t last long. Florio has picked Sanders to head a bigger program in college football soon. And he has also pegged him to call plays in the NFL too.

“Folks in Boulder need to enjoy it, because it’s going to be temporary. It’s just a matter of time before Deion goes to another school. It might just be a matter of time before the NFL comes calling,” Florio wrote for Pro Football Talk.

Sanders has indeed turned things around at Colorado already and it is before the team has even played a single competitive game. Folsom Field was packed to watch the number one Colorado offense take on the number two offense. The season tickets are already off the shelves, the earliest ever in program history. And the hype was real when the game really kicked off. The folks in Boulder are loving it.

Fans add to the hype

The fans had already hyped up the spring game by coming in such a large number. And the hype only blew the roof when Deion Sanders and his team walked onto the field. A fan saw the crowd roar into life as Deion Sanders walked onto the field.

Many prominent names in the NFL watched the games. NFL veteran Pat McAfee couldn’t control himself from reacting to the sellout crowd at the spring game.

So yes, the hype is real. But can Sanders deliver what he promised while signing a whopping $30 million contract just four months ago? The biggest question is, will he step up into the NFL, the league he won twice during his playing career? Going by his interview with GQ, he doesn’t want to. But it will surely be tempting once the offer really comes in.
