A new name has appeared in Julian Lewis’ quest to find his home. The five-star QB is a phenom that several programs are chasing at once. Yet, USC, the program that JuJu committed to, or Colorado Buffaloes, the program he is set to visit the third time this weekend, was a cut above the rest. It was only this weekend that Lincoln Riley and Co. hosted JuJu and his father for an official visit, which turned out to be ‘phenomenal‘. To no one’s surprise, another character in this story in the form of a new school has emerged.

Auburn was one of the names in the list of schools chasing Julian Lewis but it didn’t have that much buzz yet. That was until Zack Blackerby burst that bubble. During his podcast with The Next Round Live, Blackerby strongly proposed his idea behind why “Julian Lewis will be Auburn’s QB.” Firstly, Auburn seems to be “aligned for the first time” and set to play well in the NIL market, per Blackerby. Now, looking at the NIL prospects that Colorado has to offer, Coach Freeze would really need to step up their game if they are to use that as a weapon to lure Juju.’

He further adds that Auburn “has a lot to offer to a quarterback coming out of the high school ranks,” pointing out that he can learn from the more experienced players on the team. He describes Juju as “Coming in as an aresonal and builds with weapons that could all do different things”. If Julian Lewis rolls the dice, not only would he have good depth in the O-line with commitments of players like Broderick Shull but he would also be leading a formidable force in the NCAA, a jackpot for a high school prospect. As far as recruitment goes, Auburn is rumored to be getting Caleb Cunningham, another star player. Julian Lewis is set to visit Auburn this weekend.

In fact, a lot of 4 and 5-star recruits are supposedly coming to meet with the school the same weekend as Lewis just to spend time with him. Zack also described this as an “all-out” effort from Auburn, the outcome of which will be eagerly awaited, especially since Colorado is next in line.

It was no secret that Juju’s official visit with the USC went ‘phenomenally’. His father and the QB were once again sold on USC, maybe because of the strong bond his father has with Head Coach, Lincon Riley. But all of this is before Juju visits the top competitors of USC in the mix, Auburn and Colorado. This weekend will decide whether Blackerby’s prediction would stand true or whether Deion Sanders and Co.’s efforts on luring Julian Lewis throughout the months would shine through.

If Lewis is to choose Auburn, he might have to compete with Auburn’s other top QB prospects like TJ Lateef for the starting QB position, given that Lateef has already chosen Coach Freeze and Co. On the other hand, if Lewis flips to Colorado, he might as well get the starting QB served on a silver platter since Shedeur Sanders would be leaving for the NFL. Either way, Zack seems pretty strong in his belief that Julian Lewis will be Auburn’s quarterback.
