Though he was originally committed to USC, recent signs are proving that he might have shifted his allegiance to the team of black and golden. The Buffs keep winning it big with the transfer portal and they will celebrate with great pomp since Lewis might be coming home.

Though Lewis is tied strongly to the USC Trojans, two teams like Colorado and Auburn have a strong chance of flipping his decision. Moreover, with the sort of reception that Lewis received over at Colorado, he might just change his mind, and Deion would be all the better for it, as he usually ends up having all the success at the transfer portal. Also, the Buffaloes surprised him with several shiny trinkets that the youngster Juju wasn’t expecting and it might just be the game-changer that the team is hoping for.

The family atmosphere at Colorado may just help them bag Lewis

Deion and his team are pulling out all the stops to ensure that Lewis is enamored by the program and the facilities that they have in Boulder. On the 29th June episode of the ‘Hard Count’ with J.D. Pickell, Phillip Dukes joined on to talk about the stressful situation for USC fans. Seeing as how Lewis’ photo with Shedeur Sanders giving him the key seems assurance that a flip is going to occur, here’s what Dukes had to say.

Dukes praised the Colorado program a lot for their infrastructure and capabilities. While admitting that the Buffs could have a good shot at flipping Lewis, he eventually ended up choosing USC as his final team. He said, “Knowing that Deion’s not going anywhere because there’s no way he can leave Julian Lewis. So I think with all three of these schools and apologies to Indiana but I think with all three of these schools, there’s really a very compelling case for Julian Lewis to go to him and right now, it’s too hard for me to put one in front of the other except for saying that he’s committed to USC, so that’s who I’ll go with.” But suppose we were to look at the signs that popped up after Lewis visited Boulder. In that case, the situation suggests a different direction as Colorado is making it difficult for Lewis to remain loyal to his original decision.

Could the Buffaloes actually get Lewis to jump ship?

Players who commit to a team end up flipping to other universities all the time. Especially if the player is touted to be the best QB in the 2025 class, he could flip without a question if it meant a thriving environment for his potential NFL career. That is exactly who Julian Lewis and here’s why the Buffaloes are so desperate to land him.

This season is the last year that Shedeur plays with the Buffaloes and after which, the team doesn’t possess anyone as good as Lewis to replace him. By the looks of it, Shedeur giving Lewis the key while he sits on the throne directly represents this situation hence, making it all the more crucial for Coach Prime to bring him in. Moreover, to appease Lewis some more, they even got a local burger joint in Colorado named, “The Sink,” to make a burger unique to Lewis and termed it the “Juju’s Precision Pass Burger.” Thus, the Buffaloes are ready to welcome Lewis with open arms, if only the youngster could make up his mind soon.
