Back in 2010, an NCAA investigation led to a ban on 2004 Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush, along with a major sanction that prohibited him from participating in their ceremony. However, there have been major developments in college football due to the introduction of NIL, pushing the Heisman Trust to reconsider the case of Reggie Bush. As Michael Comerford declared, “We considered the enormous changes in college athletics over the last several years in deciding that now is the right time to reinstate the trophy for Reggie. We are so happy to welcome him back.“
The decision has not only brought a smile back to the face of Bush but also to many other football players who were support the former USC RB. The list includes Eric Crouch, the 2001 winner, Robert Griffin III, the 2011 winner, and Johnny Manziel, the 2012 winner, who even promised to skip the ceremony if Reggie Bush wasn’t given his trophy back.

Manziel is among the many pro football players, along with former Heisman winner and USC Trojans star Caleb Williams, to show appreciation and support for Bush. Caleb Williams posted an Instagram story with the message “You gotta come back an turn em up now. Back like you never left” with a picture of USC jersey #5, which belonged to Bush at USC.
He further posted another story with the message “YES SIRRR” and a picture of Bush holding his Heisman Trophy from 2004. The gesture from fellow Heisman winners depicts their love and support for Bush, who was stripped of his due achievement in a 2010 scandal. But now the trophy and glory is back to the USC great.
