It’s a great day for the Michigan Wolverines as they clinched their third consecutive playoff position. It was a great game for the Wolverines as they annihilated the Iowa Hawkeyes. The cracker of a game saw the Wolverines showing utter dominance across the four quarters and making life difficult for Iowa.

However, the mindset of the team is on another level. The players aren’t satisfied as yet with securing the playoff position. The side’s running back player Blake Corum name-dropped another sports legend as he pointed out that the work was only half done! It was a great day for the youngster as he equaled a stellar record!

After winning the game against the Iowa Hawkeyes, which also meant the Wolverines secured their playoff position. The team’s running back player Blake Corum spoke with the interviewers after the game. He said, “Like Kobe Bryant said, ‘The job is not finished.'” when asked if the team was happy with making the playoffs.

Corum stressed that he and the side were aiming for the ultimate prize and knew that the work wasn’t completed. It’s just amazing to see the mental toughness and clarity of thoughts the young players possess. Blake Corum’s mental toughness and the ability to not get complacent are identical to Kobe Bryant’s. Just like the legendary hooper, the running back player too keeps himself in the moment through the future objectives.

While fans are rejoicing Michigan’s victory, there’s one glaring sign that has emerged from the interview. If someone noticed carefully, Corum is still wearing the nose badge weeks after he sustained the injury. The injury, however, dates back to the game against Penn State. It was earlier during the competition stages that the stalwart got injured and was suffering from a bleeding nose.

However, during that particular game, Corum rushed 26 times accounting for a season-best record of 145 yards. He also capped the performance with a pair of touchdowns. He gave a dominant performance in that game as he took the team over the line. However, as much as Corum’s performances improved through the league stages, his bandage remained intact.

On the positive side, his nose might not be bleeding much but still the nose badge is there. Such is the nature of a nose injury that it can relapse quite soon. With the players continuously removing their helmets during and after the game, it’s vital that Corum takes extra precaution with the nose and lets it heal fully.
