A record $75 million in dues to just fire a coach caused a stir earlier this month. It’s been a wild ride for the football team these last two months. Now that they have finally found a suitable replacement in Mike Elko, can he deliver the goods? This begs the question as the head coach looks to take the mantle of coaching the side.

Mike Elko is a no-nonsense coach, has a stern demeanor, and doesn’t let anyone slide away with their mistakes. However, his role with the side and the comments he made earlier have been met with some criticism. His ambitious vision got some scrutiny from one analyst as he began a new journey with Texas A&M University. While Elko is a tough coach, he needs an assessment to keep in check when he makes audacious claims.

Signing new HC Mike Elko means a shift in things for Texas A&M University. However, he made claims that the side was one of the elite universities in college football. Moreover, to add to the spice, the multi-million dollar buyout handed to Jimbo Fisher makes things interesting for Elko.

He spoke in the presentation, saying how the football team will be the strongest in the country. These remarks weren’t met with appreciation from the veteran panelist, Mike Leslie. He reckons Mike is a big bag of wind who makes overambitious remarks. “Based on what?” quipped Leslie as he asked a three-word question.

The question was raised regarding calling the football club one of the best in the NCAA. The entire league has some quite successful teams, and per Leslie, calling A&M Texas the greatest wasn’t good. However, for Elko, he has a tough assignment on his hands.

Mike needs to bring some stability to the setup. He has to round up the players and inspire them to achieve the unthinkable come the next season. Does he have a plan at his disposal? Yes, he might have one, actually! Elko has broken down his results into smaller parts and wishes to build trust with the players first.
