When it comes to Jimbo Fisher, he feels that the College Football Playoff national championship game is going to be a toss-up.” He opines that, “If Michigan can control the ball and run the football,” and “the quarterback going against that defense is going to be one heck of a matchup.” He utters words of praise for the Washington offensive line before moving on to talk about how “McCarthy’s underrated athletically moves around makes more plays than people give him credit for.”

In the national title game, Michigan Wolverines football is set to face Washington. Las Vegas oddsmakers favor the undefeated Wolverines (14-0) to vie for the national championship in 2024. Their remarkable record includes winning 39 of the last 42 games since 2021, solidifying their position as strong contenders. Michigan, in pursuit of its 12th national championship since 1997, has the chance to secure the title on Monday night and defend it next season. Despite not producing a Heisman winner since ’97 (Charles Woodson), McCarthy could potentially change that narrative if he returns in 2024.
