Jim Harbaugh, like the visionary coach he is, is already preparing his new commits for a head start. The Rose Bowl is just days away but the Wolverines are ready. Michigan has procured some early enrollees including LB Jeremiah Beasley and DB Jacob Oden, who are expected to play in the early bowl practices in Pasadena.

Allowing a freshman to join the team early comes with its advantage and Jim Harbaugh knows that better than anyone. He did the same with WR Semaj Morgan last year before the Fiesta Bowl and he was able to deliver an instant impact. Let’s take a deeper look at the early enrollees.

The No. 1 Michigan Wolverines are in full-swing preparation for their upcoming bowl game against the Alabama Crimson Tide. Just days ahead of the Rose Bowl, Jim Harbaugh is fortifying his team’s roster with nine early enrollees who are “expected to participate in Rose Bowl practices.”

New commit Jacob Oden said, “At this point, it’s time to go. All of that (recruiting) stuff is over with. Now, it’s time to move forward. After we got done talking about what the next few weeks are going to look like, (they said), ‘It’s time to strap in, grow up and get rolling.’ Jim Harbaugh said of the early enrollees who were there for bowl practice last year, “It didn’t take them long to get up to speed. First couple of days, hearts pounding away, but by the second, third practice, they really acquitted themselves well.”
