The Michigan coach is headed to the NFL and the entire world of football can’t seem to stop talking about it. The golden coach of college football has decided to open up shop in the bigger league with the LA Chargers. Jim Harbaugh has finally cleared the air and has come out with a decision about his future, but the fans haven’t been too happy about it.

The Michigan Wolverines went 15-0 undefeated before going on to win the CFP national championship under Harbaugh. After 9 seasons with Michigan, Harbaugh has conquered the league quite magnificently. Now, it seems like the logical next step in his career is to bring home a Super Bowl and stack it with the other trophies. Popular podcast, the Exempt List’s host, Charles McDonald, appeared on the latest episode of the Zero Blitz podcast with Jason Fitz. The duo talked about the latest things happening in the sport and transitioned into talking about the hot topic of Jim Harbaugh. When asked about Harbaugh’s time with the Chargers, McDonald had a strong opinion to share.

Harbaugh’s contract with the Chargers entails him to a salary of $12.5 million per season, and $62.5 million overall. His expensive signing has led to a lot of speculations about whether he will be worth the money in his initial season. Regarding this, McDonald said, “Maybe Harbaugh can finally make me a Chargers fan. Probably temper your expectations for year one. Because there are over 44 million dollars over in predicted cap space for next year and may have free agents.”

He further added, “So you’re either gonna have to restructure or I can imagine with the new regime coming in, to start cutting guys that weren’t a part of the old thing. You might be looking at an offense where it’s just Harbaugh and some pieces. You’re probably looking at 2025 for this thing to kick off well.”

Thus, it’s evident that Harbaugh will take some time to settle in, but when he does, he is expected to bring back the golden touch. Now that he’s finally in the NFL, he will also be facing off against his brother John Harbaugh, HC, for the Baltimore Ravens. Moreover, this is what the elder brother had to say about Jim being one of his competitors next season.

The Harbaugh name will be leading two of the best teams in the NFL and the fans can’t wait to see the match between the brothers someday. John welcomed his little brother but also acknowledged the tough competition that he would be going up against.

John said, “My thoughts are, we play them next year. We’re looking forward to all of it. I’m just very happy for him, proud of him, excited for him, excited for his family. My mom and dad told me he called back in the evening and he found out all of his kids, starting with Addie and Katie, had their bags packed already. They were ready to go. So they’re excited too. “It’s going to be great, well-deserved. I’ll say this, the Chargers just got themselves one great coach.” Thus, the day is not too far when the Harbaugh v/s Harbaugh match occurs and the fans have to grip the sides of their seats amid high tensions.
