Jim Harbaugh and JJ McCarthy are both tipped to leave Michigan Wolverines for better career opportunities in the NFL as the season comes to an end. The Michigan Wolverines are the national champions now after defeating the Washington Huskies by a score of 34-13 yesterday. And now they will be considering their future in the NFL as it is evident that the league has both McCarthy and Harbaugh in their sites.

The Wolverines finished the season with an unbelievable score of 15-0 and redeemed themselves after a storm of backlash against them because of Harbaugh’s controversies. Jim was dropped by the team for leading a sign-stealing operation against the rival teams to gain an unfair advantage. Thus, this meant that Michigan’s organic success on the field was heavily scrutinized, and didn’t get their flowers, no matter what. Now, with them being hailed as the champions, Harbaugh and McCarthy would be wise to leave the Wolverines after having such a difficult time this season.

On the latest episode of the On3 channel, J.D Pickell took to the mic to discuss the situation of both Harbaugh and McCarthy as their future is being highly talked about. Moreover, he advised them to move to the NFL, as staying back with Michigan wouldn’t be easy because of the NCAA pressure.

Pickell talked about Harbaugh particularly and said, “What’s next for both these guys would be the NFL. Like for Jim Harbaugh you just can’t help but feel like the NCAA is going to make it tough now.  But you have to imagine they’re going to make it tough on Jim Harbaugh and there’s also a lot of jobs available for him. Like we see it in the NFL man, there’s no shortage of options for where he could land next.”

Additionally, he targeted JJ McCarthy, the quarterback for the Wolverines, and said, “Now for JJ McCarthy, kind of the same thing.  A lot of people that study the NFL, that are NFL draft gurus, they put JJ McCarthy in that first round category. I’ve seen people talk about him being a top 10 guy. If that’s your stock brother, like who are we to say don’t go to the NFL?” Thus, it would make the most sense for both top-notch NFL picks to hoist the sails and fish in better waters as their time with Michigan seems to have come to an end.

Will Harbaugh and McCarthy finally make the tough decision and move away from the men in maize and blue?

With Jim Harbaugh, recent reports suggest that he’s being wooed by the LA Chargers to join the team as their newest HC. Additionally, sources close to Harbaugh reveal that he’s already started to look into real estate options in Los Angeles, which is indicative of his decision to move to the NFL. But Harbaugh is yet to confirm or deny any of these rumors as the fans impatiently wait for an answer. And just like his coach, McCarthy has left everyone in the same type of ambiguity with his stance on transferring to the NFL.

When asked about potentially moving to the NFL, McCarthy said, “I have not (made a decision) at all. I’m completely in the present moment, soaking in every single day, enjoying every single practice, every single meeting with my guys.” His answer isn’t any different from Harbaugh’s, who said that he didn’t have anything on his mind except for the CFP national championship game. But now that they’ve conquered that peak, an answer from both their ends is bound to come soon and the world of college football hasn’t been more on edge.
