A recruitment revolution is up the Chargers’ sleeve as Jim Harbaugh’s off-season motto of ‘overhauling the staff’ is being executed flawlessly. The staff recruiting masterclass, which is setting an example across the pro league, commenced when Jesse Minter and Jay Harbaugh joined the Chargers. Ben Herbert, Joe Hortiz, and Greg Roman followed suit. With all these well set in their new roles, a second wave of recruitment is expected to flow through the Chargers.
Joe Hortiz, in his introductory speech as the general manager of the Chargers, set forth his strategy straight for the upcoming season. Along with that, he also touched upon the positions that he would be reviewing under Harbaugh’s recruitment drive. Per the latest report by SNYtv’s Conor J Hughes, the next position on the Chargers priority list would be the assistant general manager. Jets’ director of Player Personel, Chad Alexander, is reportedly taking a promotion as the Chargers assistant general manager, per Hughes.

Alexander’s extensive experience in the front office world is the key to his hiring. His two-decade-long tenure with the Ravens is the highlight of his resume, at least for Jim Harbaugh, given his long-since rivalry with his siblings’ team. The coaching staff from Michigan and the Ravens have caught Jim Harbaugh’s eye since he put the cap off the Chargers’ head coach. While Alexander is their next coach from Raven, fans wouldn’t be too surprised if Spanos opens up his account for hiring more from Michigan, especially after the report released by The Big Ten Huddle.

Jim Harbaugh’s next probable hires
Sherrone Moore is in a tough spot on the pedestal of college football head coach, given the team he inherited from Jim Harbaugh, leaving him to join their former head coach. The best of the coaches who thrust UM to their pinnacle last season like Minter and Herbert have joined the Chargers. Well, making up for another bad news for Moore was The Big Ten Huddle’s reports, which claimed that Co-DC Steve Clinkscale and DL coach Mike Elston have piqued Jim Harbaugh’s interest.

Well, two more shifts from Michigan might not have affected Sherrone Moore much, were these two shifts not the prospects for the vacant DC position at UM. Before Moore could announce either of these two as the replacement for Minter, the reports of Harbaugh’s interest in making them a part of his team came as another shot at Michigan.
