Entering the NFL Draft this season will be challenging for Harbaugh’s Chargers since they have a current cap of $44 million. However, they are assumed to be not compromising on bringing talents, particularly to reinforce the wide receiver group. To fill the vacancy, the seven-year veteran, Bengals’ Boyd, seemed to have caught Harbaugh’s attention.

Even though Boyd is all set to become a free agent, he has been loyal to the Bengals and exhibited wholehearted support as a reliable target for Joe Burrow, the quarterback. However, multiple injuries came his way to glory, and the 2023 season did not seem to go in his favor. Having amassed 67 receptions for 667 yards and two touchdowns, he will be a hit for the Chargers.
Most importantly, he will be a cost-effective addition for Harbaugh. According to projections, he may sign a two-year deal worth $16.5 million, including a guaranteed $7 million. However, amidst Boyd’s chances, it is discovered that the new Chargers head coach is plotting the best storyline to land in WR Harrison Jr.
