Jeremiah McCrimmon, a 6-foot-6, 310-pound tackle, initially served as a preferred walk-on at Mississippi State in 2021 before transitioning to Coahoma for his second-year freshman season before committing to Colorado for the 2023 season. He, however, had decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal. “After consulting with my Family and Associates, it is to my best benefit to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal with 3. years of eligibility remaining to play,” wrote McCrimmon in a post on platform X, formerly Twitter.

He dropped the announcement on platform X, complete with an emotional message thanking the Colorado staff and team. “I want to express my gratitude to the coaches at the University of Colorado for providing me with the opportunity to play here. I am thankful for the camaraderie and support from the staff, loyal fans, and the community during my time,” wrote the young athlete. To Coach Prime’s dismay, he is not the only promising player parting ways with Colorado.

Colorado loses another offensive lineman
Highly-touted offensive lineman Matthew Bedford has opted to de-commit from Colorado and will join Oregon in 2024, as revealed in a statement on X. Expressing gratitude to the University of Colorado, Bedford highlighted that the University of Oregon better aligns with his long-term goals. Shedeur Sanders, acknowledged the decision, resounding Coach Prime’s words, emphasizing solidarity with the team with a “you gotta believe” statement on platform X.
