Alabama Crimson Tide till now has been known for acing the recruiting game. It’s time for Kalen DeBoer to be the catalyst in helping his star QB Jalen Milroe secure his place in the Heisman race. And guess what? DeBoer and Milroe’s ‘marriage’ will work wonders in throwing other contenders, including SEC Rival and Georgia Bulldogs QB Carson Beck out of the race. The analyst J.D. PicKell dropped his analysis on how Milroe is going to go to a new level under the new Alabama HC’s tutelage. After all, he is the ‘doctor-ordered’ coach for the QB.

Since GOAT Nick Saban’s departure, the Crimson Tide did not get many opportunities to be in the limelight. But this time, DeBoer’s army on offense, in particular, would not be short of talent. Particularly now that is led by QB Milroe. He initially struggled as Alabama fell at home, so much so that the program went as far as benching the QB. But this time Milroe is going to make a grand comeback. That is what PicKell believes. And why so? The analyst claimed, “Him and DeBoer it’s gonna work.” 

That’s because Milroe is going to get a supportive environment that would make his journey easier in the otherwise demanding Heisman race. “The way they are going to dial it up for him. The question last year was was he consistent enough as a passer? I would argue have we seen him be in a position where the offense around him is consistent enough for him to be a good passer,” confirmed PicKell. 

HC DeBoer will play a crucial role in clearing up the path ahead for Milroe. He has already taken action by adding OL Parker Brailsford, the Joe Moore Award winner who would help the QB to secure success. As pointed out by the analyst, “Kalen DeBoer is going to do pre-snap. Getting guys open. Dialing up laps for him. You will see his completion percentage continuing to climb. Gonna see his passing numbers continue to climb.” He is called Milroe’s doctor for a reason.

Milroe’s X factors that would give him an edge

Ever since DeBoer joined Alabama, he has always found himself in a demotivating environment where he is often scrutinized for living up to the great Nick Saban’s standards. But recently he has found something to boast about. All thanks to PicKell, who on the June 13th episode of the On3 podcast gave a new tag to DeBoer. He dropped a bold statement, “I think Kalen DeBoer is exactly what the doctor ordered to improve his consistency as a passer.”

However, the Alabama HC alone is not enough to keep Milroe’s wagon moving when there are some renowned powers like Georgia’s Beck, Texas’ Quinn Ewers, and Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel. The Crimson Tide QB too has shown enough talent. What will make the QB stand out from the crowd? Particularly three factors. 

The arm talent, athletic/running ability outside of the pocket, and deep ball accuracy make Milroe earn himself the tag of most dynamic QB in college football.
