Despite having several offers lining up from A-line universities like Alabama, Gage Goldberg chose Deion Sanders and Co. It was the happiest day for Bill Goldberg, both as a friend and as a father.

As Bill Goldberg bid his final goodbye to his son before leaving him to etch his legacy in the football books, it was only natural for him to get emotional. Before boarding his flight back to his home from Goldberg, the hulk of a wrestler unveiled his ‘vulnerable’ side for the world to see. “It’s tough for me to put in words man because I’ve never been so vulnerable being a dad,” Goldberg stated, realizing how big of a ‘proud dad’ moment it was for him.

In the exclusive interview with ‘The Pregame Show,’ Goldberg unraveled all the jitters he was having on the important day but still has full faith in Deion to do his son justice. “It’s handing over my life to Deion who’s a great friend of mine. I’m handing over my most prized possession and I’m getting on a plane tonight and I’m going home. But I have the faith in my heart and the knowledge in my heart that he’s in the most beautiful place, both mentally and physically for his advancement to being a man,” Bill Goldberg stated, turning giddy over leaving his son back in Boulder.

However, arguably the ‘strongest wrestler in history’, per the legendary Mark Henry, has complete faith in Sanders. That is the main reason why both Goldberg and his son Gage have put Gage’s football future in Deion Sanders’s hands.
