The upcoming NCAA football game didn’t take too kindly with Arch Manning, which as a result, caused an uproar against him. With the last college football EA game coming out in 2014, the news of a new game stirred a frenzy among die-hard fans of the game. But it seems like the young Arch Manning has other priorities or maybe an ulterior motive behind his refusal to be part of the game.

Arch Manning, the quarterback for the Texas Longhorns, is a young talent who’s a member of the renowned Manning family. Currently, he ranks in the 4th position on the NIL valuation table, with a net worth of over $2.8 million. Moreover, his family consisted of NFL legends like Peyton and Eli Manning, which means that a great legacy rests on his shoulders as he moves ahead in his football career. However, it does seem puzzling to fans and analysts alike as to why he would choose to opt out of being a part of the upcoming EA college football game. Here’s a look at Brandon Walker of the MostlySports show calling Arch Manning out brutally for his opting-out reasons.

On the latest episode of the MostlySports podcast, hosts Brandon Walker and Mark Titus talk about Arch’s recent decision to not be a playable character in the upcoming NCAA football game, and his reason was that he wants to focus on football instead. The youngster is facing a lot of criticism for his decision and Walker and Titus seem to think that his reason stems from a financial motive.

Walker said, “Arch Manning. Who do you think you are? What gives you the right? It’s always a Manning, isn’t it? Over 10,000 players have opted into the new college football game. And Arch Manning said the quote was, Arch Manning is not opting out, he’s opting out because he simply wants to focus on football. To which I say, the process of opting is saying Yes, my name. And that is done, that’s finished. It’s over, I don’t have to think about it again.” As if this wasn’t harsh enough, Mark Titus went on his rant to further add to Walker’s words.

Titus pointed out how the family name of Manning and their reputation is connected to Arch’s decision to not participate and said, “Because why doesn’t he just say, I don’t think we’re getting enough money or why does he not say that my name is more valuable. It’s so obvious that Arch Manning says, “600 dollars? Are you f*****g kidding me? ” Maybe it’s not even him, it’s his team, it’s his family members that are saying, “We were thinking the rights for my name is like 100,000 dollars and you’re offering me 600 dollars. This is a f*****g slap in the face. No, I’m not going to do it.” Now when he’s asked why he’s opted out and he says, I opted out because I’m worth 100,000 dollars, not 600, that’s not as palatable as saying, I wanna focus on football. ” Thus, the young Arch Manning has seemed to dig himself a hole which won’t be difficult to crawl out of as fans continue to demolish his decision to not be a part of the EA game. With all that said, here’s a look at the buzz and excitement that surrounds the game which is set to be released in August.

The College Football 2025: Why is there so much hype around the game?

The NCAA Football 14 was a part of a lot of football fan’s childhoods. During the era of the PlayStation 3, Football 14 meant a great deal to college football fanboys who never saw yet another game from EA until now. The games couldn’t be produced after 2014 because of the lawsuits and cases stemming from laws regarding NIL. Now that the new NIL Rule was passed in 2021, the gaming franchise could finally make a comeback.

On February 15, a day after Valentine’s Day, EA Sports made a direct impact on the fans’ hearts by releasing an official trailer for the upcoming game. This time, the players have the option to opt into the game, for which they will receive a sum of $600 and a copy of the game upon its release. Unfortunately, this was the option that Arch Manning ended up denying and, as a result, has stained the legacy of the Manning family by throwing a tantrum over a video game.
