The Florida State Seminoles have been robbed of their chance to play at the playoffs despite boasting a clean record of 13-0. Florida State being omitted from the College Football Playoffs has caused a huge blow to players, coaches, fans, and even the State of Florida. It has even led to the Seminoles star QB Jordan Travis wishing he broke his leg earlier in the season to prove his team’s worth without him.

As tense as the present situation is, an anonymous statement on CBS Sports has added fuel to the fire. It came from a committee member of the CFP that Florida State was excluded because of Travis’ season-ending injury. This triggered a series of reactions from the Seminoles supporters who went as far as to call the CFP methodology “garbage.”

Florida State finished the season undefeated in the Power Five League with a conference championship. According to Josh Pate, for them to be out of the playoffs is complete garbage. The anonymous revelation landed CFP executive director Bill Hancock in hot water as he was approached in Las Vegas about the committee’s selection process. He said, “It is the most ethical, deliberate, detailed process I’ve been through since I left the men’s basketball committee.”

After Jordan Travis broke his leg and sat out the last two games, the CFP decided their performance wouldn’t be the same without their star QB despite their two wins without him. FSU HC Mike Norvell slammed the CFP saying, “I am disgusted and infuriated with the committee’s decision today to have what was earned on the field taken away because a small group of people decided they knew better than the results of the games… I don’t understand how we are supposed to think this is an acceptable way to evaluate a team.
