Saturday is a big day for Colorado Buffs fans, as their team gears up for the clash against the 4-6 Washington State. Interestingly, the Buffs also come in with an identical record. Hence, the ultimate showdown will be pivotal for not only the Buffs but also the Cougars, as the team has a losing streak larger than the Buffs. Deion Sanders was the subject of scrutiny for many internet football fanatics when Buffs extended their losing streak to 4.

But the Cougars, on the other hand, are in an even worse position, with a losing streak of 6. Hence, Saturday’s showdown will be one that keeps the audience on the edge of their seat. Especially the Buffs fans, as they anticipate some high-end Prime action from Coach Prime.

In the race for the Bowl, the Colorado Buffs still stand a chance if they are able to win each remaining game of the regular season. These games include, of course, this weekend’s clash, along with the mighty one against 6th in Pac-12 Utah Utes. If Buffs manage to add these two wins to their 4-6 score, and push their win count to 6, then they might get a shot at the Bowl.

However, looking at the most recent game of Buffs against the Wildcats, how Coach Prime’s poor play calls hurt the score of the whole team, it does appear to be a tad bit far-fetched. As it was not an Arizona exclusive problem, the pattern of poor play-calling is observed in a couple of previous games as well. UCLA, Stanford, and Oregon State being the perfect instances. Buffs failed against UCLA by a touchdown, buy a single field goal against the Stanford, and just by two points against the Oregon State.

What does Saturday’s game mean for Washington State?

The Cougars, too, are in a similar situation, reflecting the jitters that Buffs are shaking off. The team also has two games ahead of them, which, if they win, can possibly change their eligibility status post-season. However, the Cougars will have to give their heart and soul to that game, to put an end to their losing streak.

Hence, Saturday’s game becomes a tad bit important for both teams, as not only it puts an end to their losing streak but also their Bowl eligibility depends on it. At the end, it will all boil down to fractions of close calls, so each team’s players better buckle up.
