Alright, college football fans, here’s a fun one! EA College Football 2025 is right around the corner, and it’s bringing all the heat. You’ve probably heard about Travis Hunter, right? The guy’s been on fire and EA confirmed he’s got a 95 overall rating in the game! That makes him the highest-rated wide receiver and the sixth-highest-rated player overall. On July 10, Hunter hopped onto Instagram with a challenge: he’s ready to play the game live on Twitch if he gets 500 new subscribers. Talk about upping the ante.
In his story, Hunter made it clear—this is a chance for fans to see him take on the game where he’s already a top player. The Fans must be all in, cause who wouldn’t want him to get to 500 real fast and watch him run along with his own avatar? Furthermore, it is very visible that Hunter is quite eager to get his hands on the gamepad and dive in. Back in May, Travis had made his love for the game very clear. “Thеy got your boy lookin’ nicе!” he had mentioned on an Instagram post, sharing a clip of the game.

But it’s not just Hunter who’s making waves. The game is loaded with top talents. Shedeur Sanders from Colorado, another standout, is sitting pretty with a 94 overall rating, tying with Georgia’s Carson Beck. Then there’s Quinn Ewers from Texas, who’s got a solid 97 rating, and Ollie Gordon II from Oklahoma State, rocking a 98. These ratings are making this year’s game a must-play for any college football fan.
The hype surrounding EA College Football 25
The game, set to launch on July 19, 2024, promises to deliver an immersive and authentic college football experience with its new features like CampusIQ™ gameplay, which includes a composure system, player wear and tear, and screen-shaking home-field advantages. The game also features a Celebration system, which did stir up some controversy a few days back on July 9th as they had decided it would be fun to add Shedeur Sanders’s “Watch Flex” celebration into the game.
The 2021 U.S. Supreme Court ruling in NCAA vs. Alston, which allowed college athletes to receive compensation for their name, image, and likeness (NIL) fueled the game’s development. Each athlete receives a flat $600 fee plus a copy of the game from EA Sports, ensuring fair compensation for their inclusion. Also, featuring cover athletes like Travis Hunter, Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers, and Michigan running back Donovan Edwards, the game has already generated significant buzz. The Standard Edition of the game is priced at $69.99, while the Deluxe Edition, offering early access and additional features, is available for $99.99.
