Caleb Williams is a football veteran. He has been on the top of his game during the last two seasons. Such has been his dominance that he’s been touted for winning consecutive Heisman Trophies. A rare feat considering the magnitude of games played in the NCAA.
Joining certain NFL legends in the quarterback position, Williams is slated to become the next big thing. He recently revisited the comparisons made with two champion QBs with a sense of maturity and level-headedness that the young player possesses from such an early age. Currently, playing his last season with the NCAA, the QB earlier dropped a bombshell answer when compared with two NFL players.

Caleb Willimas is without a doubt, a star in NCAA. The jersey no.13 USC Trojans player won the 2022 Maxwell Award for his outstanding achievements. Furthermore, his breakout season last year won him the Heisman Trophy. As he grew, comparisons followed. The 21-year-old was immediately compared with NFL legends– Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes. He said “The Patrick Mahomes thing, I’ve seen it. I don’t think anything of it. I’m my own self. I’m Caleb Williams, No. 13 for the USC Trojans. I don’t think too much of it other than, it’s respect.”
Ask any young adolescent about being compared to one of the most successful QBs in the history of the NFL, and the comparison alone will make any rookie player feel proud! However, for Williams, who’s a different breed altogether, it was a no-go. He denied such claims and wished to become the first “Caleb Williams”. Both Brady and Mahomes are influential players. While Brady is certainly the NFL GOAT with 7 SB wins. Mahomes is making his name in the history books with 2 SB wins, with a third one in sight. There are certain goals that Williams has set for the coming year, that might be interesting to know!

The Trojans QB has had a terrific start to his rookie career. He’s probably achieved what one can do in the NCAA. From winning the best individual award to being on the way for the first draft pick for the 2024 season. However, there are some other personal and team goals he wishes to achieve while being involved in college football.
These include adding another Heisman Trophy to his cabinet. Secondly, from the team’s perspective. It’s to help his side win the NCAA championship.
