Something seems to be off with Coach Prime. As he sat there ready to take questions from the journalist, he showed signs of agitation when the words flew by before he could grasp them all. He surely seems to be in a slow mood today!

One reason could be that he doesn’t want to mess up his first press conference as Colorado joined the Big 12. We can’t blame him for wanting to take it slow and easy. Or does his lack of energy to keep up with the host’s pace go deeper than just wanting to chill and take time answering?

In a new episode on 9NEWS on YouTube on July 11, the Buffs HC intently listened to the journalist who intended to ask a two-part question. But when he finished the first part of the question and continued, “Part two,” Deion Sanders interrupted the host with an appeal to slow down. He said, “One at a time. I’m 56. You can’t do that… Give me one at a time.”

Deion Sanders used his age as an excuse to take his time ruminating over the question to carve out the best response. After all, it’s a person’s words that give way for vicious false rumors to spread, which is not something new for Coach Prime. After answering the first part of the question, he calmly said, “Now we go to part two.” But if anyone is also thinking, is Deion Sanders already getting old age problems?

Is Prime-time energy draining?

Once upon a time, Deion Sanders was a beast who outperformed the bulk of the players as a two-sports star playing in both the NFL and MLB. He was the only player to make an appearance in both the Super Bowl and World Series. He even had the energy to make it to both the sports games on the same day. So now, is it that the Prime’s energy is draining as he’s finding rapid questions challenging?

But in all honesty, age has nothing to do with interviews. Be it young or old, almost everyone who has experienced speaking to public media would rather evade a very long question like Deion Sanders did. After all, not everyone has the mental ability of a robot to process lengthy questions. There’s always pressure to find the right things that can be said aloud without having the danger of them coming back to haunt you later.
