It seems like some of the Colorado Buffaloes stars caught the bass fishing fever! Two-way star Travis Hunter is not just popular on the field but he has a passion for fishing. It’s a passion so strong that he signed a deal with Waterland Co. which sells quality polarized fishing sunglasses.

Recently, Travis Hunter caught a massive bass during his visit to Coach Prime and reaped appreciation from his head coach. After Deion Sanders uploaded the fishing story of Hunter, another player joined in the game. And this time, the Buffs head coach will have to step aside for his young competitors.

Deion Sanders posted an interesting story that was originally uploaded by the Buffs linebacker Jeremiah Brown. In the post, Brown proudly held up a bass and tagged Travis Hunter saying, “I’m coming for ya.” His love for fishing brought him to challenge his fellow teammate who recently caught a 10+ pound bass out of Coach Prime’s new Lake Prime. Travis Hunter called himself the “fishing God” as he flaunted his catch at Coach Prime.

Like his head coach, Jeremiah Brown transferred to Boulder in December 2022 from Jackson State Tigers. He played his first season as a Buff, accounting for 11 tackles (7 solo). He must be an avid lover of fishing as his confidence exudes when he tags his head coach saying, “Just keep dreaming. This is a young man’s game.”

Coach Prime is fishing and recruiting

It’s a pity for Coach Prime whose players want to have a peer competition. Not many people have Deion Sanders’ passion for fishing. He even makes fishing an anchor for recruiting as is seen when he caught a big largemouth bass. He flexed his catch on social media with the caption, “Where can I go Recruit & Fish in that order. But I don’t fish I like to go Catching so that means who’s ready to Commit, Sign & get here for the next semester?

The early signing is still a week away and Coach Prime is already hauling in some of the top players to the offensive line. There are still elite players out there who haven’t committed yet. Colorado could get more additions to their roster aside from the 10 players who have already committed to Deion Sanders and the Buffs.
