Julian Lewis is yet to meet with Deion Sanders and the Colorado team, but it looks like his meeting with USC during the official visit went better than anyone expected. He recently met with Lincoln Riley and USC for an official visit, which his father, TC Lewis, described as “phenomenal.” He said, “USC put together an awesome weekend.” And it looks like the son agrees as he reveals his thoughts.

With his talent, Lewis has many schools interested in having him despite his commitment to USC last August. As the No. 1 player in the 2025 class, these days are crucial as he already kicked off his official visits to the top schools on his list. And for the first time since spring, he returned to his committed program.

As reported by Rivals.com, his meeting with USC “could not have gone much better.” Head coach Lincoln Riley has enticed the talented prospect, leading him to make a bold statement, “I love coach Riley. He’s my guy. Every time I’m around him I learn something. There’s no question that I’ll be successful playing for him on that offense. Coach (Luke) Huard comes from a family of quarterbacks and played it himself so between those two I know I’ll get better every day at SC.”

Lincoln Riley has yet to win any significant accolades at USC, but he put up an HC record of 74-18 in his two seasons. Quarterback coach Luke Huard, who joined USC in 2022 as an offensive analyst, is entering his third year with the program, and this season will be his first time coaching the signal callers. In terms of what Lewis pointed out, does Colorado have what it takes for him to be successful?

Julian Lewis previously stated that Coach Prime sparked his interest in Colorado. In his interview with On3 Recruits, he said, “It’s definitely crazy right now, like I was just talking about it and I was like Colorado before year, I mean I would have never looked at him, smiled at him, none of that stuff but yeah, Coach Prime, them going there really really boosted their whole situation.”

As for the QB coach, Pat Shurmur is a loaded weapon with 32 years of coaching experience, a promising prospect for Lewis. Before Julian Lewis makes the highly anticipated official visit to Colorado on June 21, he’ll be making a stop at Auburn on June 14. This is a pivotal period for Coach Prime, as this visit could potentially solidify a long-term QB investment, especially once Shedeur Sanders joins the NFL in 2025.
