Killing ’em with kindness? Deion Sanders does it the best. Since the controversy of Prime reportedly ‘forcing’ the Buffs recruits to attend his son Shedeur’s concert with their position in Buffs at stake went viral, Coach Prime and Co. have tried and tested all ways to put forward his innocence. Almost reaching the fever pitch of advocating for himself nicely, Deion Sanders is seemingly diverting his ways a bit to teach his detractors a nice lesson.

Since his haters were enjoying calling Prime out for ‘playing the daddy ball‘ a tad too much, Prime decided it was time for him to use their words against them. Speaking to his players during a practice session, Deion Sanders was his usual self, just a bit too brutally hilarious this time. “They don’t want to blend in, they can get off the team. They don’t want to wear my shades, they’re off the team,” Prime said, leaving the Buffs players listening to him in stitches over his joke.

The quip of Deion Sanders was a direct blow to everyone claiming he made attending Shedeur’s concert ‘the final straw for a few Colorado transfers’, especially when the transfers had confessed firsthand of Prime doing no such thing to them.

The testimonials of the CU transfers

The report released by Athlon Sports‘ Steve Corder, the first one to claim that Prime ‘forced the recruits‘ was based on some CU sources, which reportedly were the players who left Colorado this season. Now, based on the current limelight that Deion Sanders is being portrayed by the former Buffs players, especially since Cormani McClain and Xavier Smith called him out, is a known fact.

Yet, to further strengthen Prime’s end in the debate, the fresh Colorado transfers who got signed this spring jumped to his defense. Colton Hood, who signed up with Colorado this spring, advocated for Prime and Shedeur Sanders in his interview with ON3. Referring to the whole fiasco as “just crazy,” Hood said, “They all cool people, like they all good people. So it’s not like it’s nothing like what the people tried to tell me.”

Other transfers agreed in unison to Hood’s words. Per a Well Off Media video released on June 18, LaJohntay Wester, the D-line beast in Colorado, proudly claimed that he “didn’t go to the concert” and that he was “still there.” Another spring portal transfer, Omarion Miller, agreed with the fact, saying, “He (Deion Sanders) would never force us.” If the claims of Deion Sanders’ family and CU staff were not enough, the confessions by the student-athletes who were reportedly ‘forced’ should surely suffice to shut the haters’ mouths.
