Deion Sanders, the coach for the Colorado Buffaloes, comes up with another loss to the team’s record. The 56-year-old NFL Hall of Famer signed a contract with the Buffs this season and has stayed in the NCAA headlines since. Though Coach Prime brought newfound fame to the team, his team’s performance hasn’t managed to hit the levels of football that the league demands.

The Colorado Buffaloes faced off against the Oregon State Beavers on 5th November 2023. The Buffs’ had a lot riding on this match as the fans expected them to make a major comeback after a string of disappointing losses. Unfortunately for Coach Prime and the team, the tide turned in the favor of the Beavers and led to their loss. In recent reports, it has been announced that Sean Lewis, the offensive coordinator for the team, had been demoted before today’s match. While the news comes as a shock to the fans, Coach Prime had a stern answer to the speculations.

In the post-match conference, Deion Sanders took the loss on the chin and gave precise answers as to why the team keeps losing the way they do. The Oregon Beavers upstaged the Buffaloes today by a score of 26-19 but the loss didn’t surprise the fans as much as the demotion of popular offensive coach Sean Lewis. In response to the demotion, Coach Prime said, “Sean is a good play-caller. We just needed change at the time. That’s what we did. And I don’t look back on it and I don’t second guess myself whatsoever because there’s more to it than you may know.

Thus now that Lewis has been demoted, Pat Shurmur will be replacing his position and is expected to handle offensive plays calling for the team. In all honesty, it seems a bit late to be making drastic changes to the team with only 2 more games left. The chance for changes should’ve been capitalized earlier rather than when they’re on the edge of being knocked out.

Coach Prime’s team had an explosive start to the season when the team had a 3-0 consecutive wins streak. They defeated the TCU Horned Frogs in their debut match and soon became the favorites for the championship. Unfortunately, it was their fated match against the Oregon Ducks that led to their fatal downfall.

After the tragic loss at the hands of the Oregon Ducks, the Colorado team managed to secure a win against the Arizona team. But even that win came across as just a mediocre performance as Coach Prime himself termed it as a “garbage”?performance. The team hasn’t been able to play a formidable game and it seems like it’s getting a bit late for Coach Prime’s players now. As the season draws to a close, the chances of the Colorado team winning a championship seem very slim now. Prime Time’s dreams of glory for the Buffs will have to wait another year as they try to make up for the lack of a good game in their upcoming few matches.
