Shedeur Sanders, the quarterback for the Colorado Buffaloes, seems frustrated with the recent Heisman odds. The 21-year-old had an outstanding season with the Buffs this year, despite his team’s poor record of 4-8. Additionally, he was a crucial part of the team’s little success and was one of the most prominent quarterbacks in the NCAA. And while he was sure to be leading the list of Heisman candidates, recent stats rank him far below, and he’s not too happy about it.
The Heisman odds currently rank Quinn Ewers at the top with +750 odds, followed by Jalen Milroe with the same numbers. Players like JJ McCarthy and Dillon Gabriel are also on the list, but unfortunately for Shedeur, he’s way out of the race with the way his team played this year. A fan tagged Shedeur with these Heisman rankings, and the quarterback seemed frustrated with the situation and lashed back.

On3 posted the Heisman rankings, and Shedeur’s name was nowhere to be found. Though he was very well a part of the race during the start of the season, he slowly slipped down to the bottom of the table and eventually was out of the competition. A fan seemed to poke fun at him and was certainly surprised when Shedeur responded with angst.
I don’t care about trying to prove people wrong they opinion’s can’t help or hurt me.

The fan wrote in his tweet, “use it as motivation lil bro” to which Shedeur replied by saying, “I don’t care about trying to prove people wrong”. Throughout the community of college football, fans were thoroughly impressed with the resilience and determination that Shedeur displayed time and time again, even after his team would fail to do their jobs.
Moreover, he proved to everyone that he’s more than his teammates’ incompetence and arose to the challenge even though the team ended up at the bottom of the points table. Without a doubt, he’ll come back stronger next season, with a purpose to redeem himself. Even though the college football rankings haven’t been kind to him, he’s one of the top 5 QBs in the NFL rankings.
Shedeur considered to be the third-best QB in the NFL draft.
Coach Prime’s son shocked everyone when he set a record with 3,230 passing yards last season. While he will certainly be preparing hard for the upcoming season with Colorado, it’s evident that his NFL draft future is brighter than ever.

An AFC scouting director had a lot of appreciation for Shedeur and said, “I had no idea he could spin it like that. You saw him against small-school dudes before Colorado, but he came in dealing, and his poise in the pocket really impressed me. He would be in the QB3 conversation this year if he came out.” With other scouts claiming that he’s one of the top 5 passers in the 2024 draft, Shedeur has a great career ahead of him.
