Even though the Colorado Buffaloes gave their best, they couldn’t make it past the Arizona Wildcats on Saturday. The 31-34 clash kept the fans on the edge of their seats till the very end. Till the end of the third quarter, Buffs fans were celebrating as the team was dominating Arizona. However, the Wildcats made a shocking comeback in the fourth quarter, emerging victorious due to the very successful quarter. Arizona kicker Tyler Loop booted a 24-yard, game-winning field goal as the clock came to a halt.

This is where the Buffs faltered, losing the game, which they could have very easily won. However, Coach Prime Deion Sanders’ flaws took the podium yet again, as the Buffs heavily struggled to score even a single point in the fourth quarter. For this, Deion Sanders had no one to blame but himself.

Well, one can go on and on about the positive impact Deion Sanders has created within just a year of joining the Buffs. However, his poor calls during the game have hurt the team more. Sanders knew that the Buffs players, despite putting on one of their best performances in the season so far, lost just because of this. However, Coach Prime took complete ownership of the loss at the post-game media conference. “I apologize on behalf of just myself,” admitted Sanders with a heavy heart.

“We didn’t send them out right, in which we wanted to because they deserve it,” confessed Sanders. Coach Prime felt deeply saddened for the senior students who, despite deserving it, could not get a win at their last game on the college home ground. He also apologized to his fans, who have been showing nothing but immense support for the team, selling out each home game this season. They too, went back disappointed watching the Buffs finish with a 2-4 home score.

The defense disappointed Coach Prime

Despite starting strong with 3-0, the Colorado Buffs suffered a sharp decline as the season progressed, losing six of their last 7 games, four of them being consecutive losses. ” The defense, we weren’t consistent as we’ve been the last two games,” added Sanders.

On the other hand, Sanders was impressed by the punter Marcus, as he did a phenomenal job, along with QB Sheduer Sanders. However, there are still some loose ends that the coach needs to tighten up before they face the Cougars, followed by the all-important clash against the Utah Utes on November 25.
