A father’s love towards his son is one of the greatest forms of affection and devotion and Jimmy Horn Sr. is a living testament. Coach Prime Season 2 has just released its latest episode that delves into the personal life of the Colorado WR Jimmy Horn Jr. The scene takes viewers all the way to John E. Polk Correctional Facility in Florida where Horn’s father is watching his son playing on the screen with pride.

Life has been hard on both Jimmy Horn Jr. and his father. But even amid the unfavorable situation, a father’s love and support for his son echoes through the prison walls as Horn Sr. takes viewers on an emotional run. And Deion Sanders’ part in this father-son duo scene is commendable.

There’s nothing surface-level with the new Coach Prime Season 2 on Amazon Prime. The latest episode brought about an emotional scene that portrayed Jimmy Horn Sr. expressing all that was unsaid before. And even though he wasn’t there physically to support his son’s games, his affection towards his son is apparent in his statement, I can’t wait to get to him and just squeeze him. Just hold him like ‘Damn son, you know, I ain’t intend to leave you.'”

A former college footballer himself, Jimmy Horn Sr. still wants the best for his son despite being in prison because of legal troubles. He went on to reveal a personal message about his son, saying, “I dedicated my life to him. I’m able to get him where he wanted to be and I couldn’t get myself. I give him my praises, my thanks, that he ain’t forgot about me, that he overlooked me. He still care for me. He don’t look at me like I’m a type of deadbeat dad. That’s my guy, Jimmy Horn Jr.” Horn Sr. also revealed how happy he is that his son had Prime in his life to support him at this time.

Jimmy Horn Jr. is one of the nation’s best WRs who assisted the Buffs in their wins against TCU and Nebraska this season. Being raised by his single father who ultimately landed in prison, it was his head coach Deion Sanders who took him under his wings to mentor him on and off the field. Coach Prime called the star player a “frickin’ warrior” and a “game-changer.”

Jimmy Horn Sr. couldn’t be happier with the bond that his son shares with Coach Prime. He said, “See, God is good all the time. He makes sure there’s someone that is out there to pick up that pace… it was a celebration to see those two together.” At 5’10, the junior WR is a slot receiver prospect for the 2024 NFL Draft. This season, he finished with 58 receptions, 567 yards, and 6 touchdowns.
