Shedeur Sanders is raking in millions with his NIL deals and brand endorsements. Not only does the player have 10,000 career rushing yards in his pocket but is also in the race for Heisman Trophy winner. So he’s also making good money through the sport. It has been reported that Shedeur could be earning way more in NIL deals alone, but now his NIL earnings have taken a major hit. Is it because of something his brother said?

There have been rumors that his brother Deion Sanders Jr. was involved in an intense NCAA battle regarding salary concerns for the players. It soon caused a stir in the media as even Coach Prime got involved. What exactly happened that caused a dip in fortunes for Shedeur Sanders?

Shedeur Sanders has several endorsements under his belt. These include- Gatorade, Mercedes Benz, Adidas, and several others. The lengthy list goes on and two days ago, Shedeur was the richest athlete in the NCAA football division. However, as per ‘On3’, his numbers took a hit and dropped to just $4 million. His initial valuation was about $5,900,000.

The losses can be credited to Deion Sanders Jr. coming up against the NCAA for not paying their players enough, saying, “NIL going crazy. You wanna play with the big dawgs you gotta pay like the big dawgs,” with a video of Coach Jim Mora talking about unfair compensation of players in college football.

Of course, there could be other reasons as well, like the Buffs’ lackluster finish to their football season, Shedeur being absent from the final game due to injuries, etc. The valuation instantly dropped with the numbers taking a major hit. However, the Buffs quarterback still reigns supreme as he’s #2 on the list of NCAA athletes with the best NIL evaluation.

Does Shedeur Sanders deserve a higher pay?

The debate is ever-growing between the payments and the NIL deals. While the athletes can be paid for their NIL deals, getting paid by the management seems to be a problem.

Does Shedeur Sanders deserve all the accolades and the praises, though? Many believe he has carried the team on his shoulders throughout the season. Apart from taking several body blows and even putting himself in danger, the youngster has turned up for every match.

Further, Skip Bayless believes the player is still underpaid. “The truth is at $4.8 million Shedeur Sanders is still underpaid. They are the biggest draw in all of college football, they are the ones setting ratings records,” he opined.
