The critics always find something negative to say about Deion Sanders and his sons— Shedeur and Shilo Sanders. While Coach Prime’s controversial “no-visit” recruiting policy has dominated recent headlines, a new topic has emerged as the dust settles: Shedeur’s $100k Cybertruck and the lavish “iced-out” lifestyle of the Sanders brothers.
Although Shedeur’s purchase of the Cybertruck was funded by his $4.7 million NIL value, it has raised eyebrows among analysts who question the appropriateness of such indulgence at a young age.
Former coach Jason Brown has openly criticized Shedeur and Shilo Sanders’ NIL endorsements. Brown contends that while Deion Sanders has earned his status through hard work, his sons have benefited from their celebrity dad’s status.

“He [Deion Sanders] came from the mud. His kids have not. His kids are on the lap of luxury,” remarked Brown on The Coach JB Show with Big Smitty. Coach JB believes that the recent addition of NIL to college football has removed the urge for hard work and passion among young athletes since finances are readily available. Furthermore, JB pointed out Deion Sanders’ alleged lack of boundaries as a head coach.
Critique of Deion Sanders’ coaching approach
Coach Brown discussed last season’s rivalry between the CU and CU State Rams. He also highlighted the heated feud between Coach Prime and Coach Norvell, and Shedeur’s presence alongside his father during the coaches’ handshake. Brown criticized Sanders’ coaching approach and emphasized the importance of drawing the line between familial connections and the game.

“My point is, I am trying to figure out when these kids have been all-inclusive to all these different scenarios that grown men used to handle. As grown men, we now have entitled these kids to think they are grown men. There is no hierarchy in Colorado showing it more than anybody,” urged Brown.
Earliеr, Coach JB also notеd Shеdеur’s purchasе of a Tеsla Cybertruck, suggеsting it is disrеspеctful to NFL GOAT Tom Brady. In an еarliеr podcast еpisodе of Lеt’s GO! Brady askеd Shеdеur to “gеt his bu** in thе film room and spеnd as much timе in thеrе as possiblе. Lеss timе in thе car and morе timе in thе film room.” However, Shedeur’s disregard for Brady’s advice in favor of flashy cars led JB to assert that “Tom Brady means nothing; he’s a nobody,” to Shedeur.

This attitude, according to JB, demonstrates Shedeur’s lack of respect for the wisdom of experienced players and his misguided priorities in pursuing success in his football career. What are your thoughts?
