LSU Tigers had a rugged roller-coaster journey this season. From being the second in the red-hot SEC conference to missing an undefeated record by just 3 losses, things started turning chaotic. Just when the team thought their efforts had gone down the drain, authorities announced the Heisman Trophy finalist. Following the footsteps of Joe Burrow, Tigers’ QB Jayden Daniels’ became the third player in franchise history to capture the Heisman Trophy.
Meanwhile, along with winning the accolade, Daniels also won thousands of hearts with his unfeigned speech. The senior year QB took special note to express his gratitude to each member of the process. It was only after he started speaking that the magnitude of the situation dawned on him, which could be decoded when he jostled a “This is wild!” comment. As hyped as Daniels was, fans were busy bundling up heaps of appreciation for him.

Daniels took his sweet time to thank everyone, starting with God, followed by his offensive linemen, Tigers’ teammates, give and coaches, and even backstage crew like janitors and service staff. The fan exclaimed, “He’s the epitome!” Daniels specifically mentioned his former university Arizona’s teammates and coaches, from where he completed his first three years of college football. After which, he turned everyone’s focus on his family, sneaking in a quip there. “Dad, you put a football in my hands when I was young. I know you raised me to be a corner, but hopefully now the decision to play quarterback paid off,” chided he.
