There’s a sense of anticipation in Colorado. FOX Sports’ Joel Klatt made a bold prediction for the squad for this season on June 4. According to On3, he said: “There’s a chance that Colorado is competing to go to the Big 12 Championship game.” He added, “If they were to get in that game, they would be 60 minutes from the College Football Playoff. It’s not out of the realm of possibility.”

Warning Shedeur Sanders on being sacked 52 times last season, Klatt added that this could happen in a scenario where the quarterback is healthy and if they maintain that health outside. But coming as a big blow for Deion Sanders, another analyst has questioned his coaching abilities. Coach Prime allegedly didn’t really prove to be a great head coach last season. See what the Buffs HC has to bear with this time.

McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning podcast witnessed something brutal from CFB analyst Paul Finebaum who took a shot at Deion Sanders on June 11. During the discussion, Finebaum picked on the Buffs HC, saying, “It’s just a matter of being honest, I don’t consider him a great coach at all. He’s a Hollywood-created celebrity primarily because of what he did in other walks of life, namely playing football.”

Deion Sanders made a name for himself by playing in the NFL for 14 seasons and winning two Super Bowls. However, despite his stellar football career, his coaching career has not been as successful. Paul Finebaum pointed out that his first season in Colorado did not help in building his credibility.

Deion Sanders created high expectations for fans on Amazon’s Thursday Night Football pregame show last season. After the Buffs came crumbling down under his first season in Colorado last fall, the 56-year-old said, “This was a season of hope… But next year is a season of expectation.” Loyal supporters like Joel Klatt are hoping that their expectations won’t be met with disappointment this season.

Coach Prime made a complete roster overhaul and kept his players prepared through rigorous military drills. Would Deion Sanders’ fresh team fulfill people’s expectations? Opinions are many. But fans are still rooting for Coach Prime as the Buffs achieved an impressive feat of selling out the season game tickets for the second straight year. Colorado will kick off the season with a game against North Dakota State on August 29.
