After confirming the hiring news in February, Coach Prime finally welcomed Warren Sapp to the Colorado coaching staff during the Sunday meeting. Sapp, a seasoned NFL player and a Pro Football Hall of Famer, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the team. His close friendship with Deion Sanders further solidifies his position as a valuable addition to the Colorado Buffs.

Warren Sapp revealed his position in Colorado as a senior quality control analyst, and BuffZone reported he was hired as a graduate assistant. Given that he had been Coach Prime’s fan since he was 12, it’s no secret how much he wanted to join him when he moved to Boulder. Now that he’s here, his excitement and enthusiasm take the lead, and he joins forces with Deion Sanders to present some petitions to the Colorado community.

Coach Prime and Warren Sapp make requests to the Colorado community 

Well Off Media captured two excited faces as the Colorado Buffs kicked off the first day of spring training after the break. Coach Prime and Warren Sapp took center stage to present several requests to the Colorado community. The Buffs HC said, “So the two main things, we need a place to go and outdoors.” The excitement of Sapp to be in Boulder as Deion Sanders’ staff is visible as he pleaded to the public, requesting them, saying, “Can y’all find your boy a place to stay?… Help me y’all, please.”

Now that Warren Sapp is finally in Colorado after a much-anticipated wait, Coach Prime isn’t letting anything stop him from showing the new staff the wonders of Colorado. He said, “We need a bike” to reach the resorts for the snowmobile. After supporting Sapp’s quest to find a house, he ended the scene with another crucial request. Deion Sanders said to the citizens of Colorado, “Last but not least. Whenever you see him out, I want y’all to give love.” This call for support and inclusion from the community is a testament to the value they hold in the Colorado Buffs’ journey. Love receives love, and Sapp affirmed that statement.

Hiring Warren Sapp didn’t come without apprehension because of his shady past and his getting into legal trouble. But things have been sorted out, as seen in BuffZone’s statement. According to what CU told BuffZone, “Warren Sapp successfully completed all of the necessary steps required of anyone who is employed at CU Boulder, including a background check. Furthermore, Athletic Director Rick George personally met with Warren to clearly articulate the department’s standards and expectations, to which he acknowledged and agreed.”

Warren Sapp’s unwavering desire to join Coach Prime’s staff led him to complete his undergraduate degree from Texas Seminary Christian University. Deion Sanders, acknowledging his efforts, said, “To see him go get his diploma, because I know what he wants to do, he wants to coach on this staff and he wants to be a part of this staff.” Warren Sapp isn’t just in Boulder for the sake of it.
