The Michigan Wolverines have defeated the Alabama team for the Rose Bowl and coach Harbaugh had Blake Corum to thank for it. Harbaugh, the 56-year-old coach, has seen his fair share of controversies this season but finally pulled through with their most anticipated win over Alabama.

With a score coming to a halt at 27-20, it was a close match between the two giants. Although the Crimson Tide were the underdogs, they couldn’t steal the victory away from the hands of the Wolverines. And now, as the men in blue and maize celebrate their victory, this is what Jim Harbaugh had to say about the win and how Blake Corum had a big hand to play in it.

During the celebrations and the post-match interview, Jim Harbaugh was seen talking about Michigan’s win and accredited Corum with most of the team’s success that night. Blake Corum, the running back for the Wolverines, did his job exceptionally well and played a pivotal role in securing the win for the team.

Harbaugh said, “We’re so together, so connected and we were going to overcome anything that was inside this stadium. Talk to this man right here, he made it happen.” He was seen pointing toward Corum at this point, conveying his utter awe for the RB. Thus, while the team celebrates one of their biggest wins this season, Corum will go home a happier man as he broke a new record during the match.

Blake Corum broke a record during the first quarter of the game

While he ran without looking back, Corum’s touchdown interception during the first quarter has put him in the record books for Michigan. He became the player to have the most career touchdown runs in the history of the men in maize.

Corum made history by setting a new record for points scored in a single season with 150 and bringing Michigan back into the game after a shaky start in the Rose Bowl. And with Harbaugh’s appreciation for the running back, it’s evident that the team is very well prepared for the national championship. Hard day for the Alabama Crimson Tide as they get knocked out of the college football playoffs but that’s the way the football spins.
