The hip-hop and rap world has rocked ever since the war between Kendrick Lamar and Drake began. With the entirety of Hollywood choosing sides, the fever had to spread to college football as well, and this time, it’s Coach Prime with his stand on the much-speculated beef.

Deion Sanders, the coach for the Colorado Buffaloes, has had a short-lived career in the rap industry. His song, Prime Time was released in 1994. Moreover, one of the Buffs’ biggest supporters is Lil Wayne, the renowned rapper who is known to be a mentor to Drake himself. Now that Drake and Lamar have engaged in a heated back-and-forth, here’s what Coach Prime had to say about that.

On the 9th May episode of the Nelk Boys podcast, Deion was invited to the show to discuss the current ongoings both in and outside the world of college football. Later, the segment ended up talking about one of the most discussed debates of pop culture today, which is choosing a side- Drake or Kendrick Lamar.

Finally, Deion talked about his opinion on the beef and said, “I wish it was more but they kept it clean. It’s never the artists who evolve but the guys who are with the people. Those are the ones who are gonna do something stupid. When was the last time you saw two actors or two artists fight? It’s the crew because they wanna prove to that guy that they’re tough.”

Thus, Coach Prime doesn’t seem to think that the gloves are off since he believes the beef could be a lot more malicious than it already is. Moreover, Deion might have a bigger pull in rap than fans think he might with the influence even spreading to his house. Here’s a look at Shedeur Sanders’ debut in the rap game which has already garnered a lot of fans.

Shedeur Sanders’ rap debut

On April 28, Shedeur dropped his first-ever song on streaming services, titled, ‘Perfect Timing.’ The song is over 2 minutes long and mostly features Shedeur singing about his money and the possession of luxury cars and watches, more specifically, a Mercedes-Maybach and an Audemars Piguet watch. The QB has never shied away from flexing his wealth and watches, something which the football fans are all too familiar with.

The cover art is a picture of Shedeur doing his signature move of flexing his watch, which incidentally, landed him in a storm of hate by the fans who advised the QB to be a bit more humble. Yet, those words were never actually taken to heart. Following in his father’s footsteps, Shedeur might end up releasing more music soon, but for the time being, he has tunnel vision for the upcoming season and leading the Buffs to glory.
