Deion Sanders often finds himself at the intersection of the realm of entertainment and the world of football. Well, who is to blame when the ‘Prime Effect’ works its magic? It looks like rappers Lil Wayne and Yella Beezy aren’t spared from it either. But that doesn’t stop them from mocking Coach Prime, especially when they have a chance.

In a recent podcast with Richard Sherman, Lil Wayne reported attending the Packers vs. Cowboys showdown on January 15. Things went well for Lil Wayne being a Packer fan—almost a bit too well, as he got a chance to tease the Cowboys fans, along with watching his team win.

On January 15, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Dallas Cowboys by a score of 48-32. However, it was Lil Wayne who won an opportunity to tease his fellow rappers Bella Yeezy and, surprisingly, Deion Sanders. Lil Wayne was having the time of his life when he shared the hilarious episode with Sherman. “Uncle Deion face-timed me, Uncle Deion said ‘I know’. I just want to say I know right now. That boy Yella’s face gotta be’. Oh, I said he’s right here uncle. And I zoomed out. His face ain’t changed for Uncle Deion. He was hurt. He was looking at unc like ‘Why you not hurt?'” and the hollering went on.

Yella and Deion Sanders are Cowboys fans at their core. Hence, the loss was the reason for the crestfallen faces of Yella Beezy and Deion Sanders. Bezzy was already dealing with the Cowboys’ loss, and Lil Wayne gave him a companion to share his sorrows with. However, it’s safe to say that Coach Prime and Beezy won’t be the only Cowboys fans’ who were disappointed with how the game turned out.

Former Cowboys’ teammate on Deion Sanders

Despite Coach Prime having his team to worry about, the Cowboys will always hold a special place in his heart as his alma mater. “I practice like I play so when I play it will be practice,” was the motto of Coach Prime during his practice days at the Cowboys. Now that he is a head coach, he carries the same mindset to train his student-athletes.
