Julian Lewis may have been a 2026 class prospect, but when he decided to join a college in 2025, several programs lunged at him, including Colorado. The top 2025 HS prospect has been committed to USC since last August. But he’s still exploring opportunities to find the most deserving one.
With an impressive record of 186 completions of 280 passes for 3,094 yards, 48 TDs, and just two interceptions last season, Julian Lewis is set to enter the 2025 class as a 5-star QB. His exceptional performance has attracted the attention of teams like Indiana, Auburn, Los Angeles, and Colorado, all vying for his interest and commitment. As Colorado strives to find Shedeur Sanders’ replacement by winning over Julian Lewis, the HS star’s father has a significant role to play.

Julian Lewis’ father T.C. joins The Network Advisory on YouTube to disclose the expectations of the Lewis family as so many schools try to win the commitment of the 5-star Carrollton QB. He said, “It’s foolish to assume anything. Like you gotta plan and prepare for everything in any scenario.” TC also cleared any clouds of regulations, saying, “I think there’s a huge misconception out there that the Lewis’ think Julian’s supposed to start as a freshman. No. The kid just wants an opportunity to walk into a situation where there’s not a cemented starter.”

Julian’s father also conceded that he would want his son in a scenario where he gets the opportunity to start, even if not immediately, and Colorado fits that bill perfectly. Deion Sanders is hot in search of Shedeur Sanders’ replacement when he leaves for the NFL in 2025. There were rumors that Julian Lewis could flip his commitment from USC to Colorado, given the efforts made and received. Let’s see some of the Buffs’ efforts to entice this elite HS prospect.

Julian Lewis is set to have an official visit to Colorado on June 21. Coach Prime has already invited the star and his father twice before to Boulder to take in the energy of the Buffs. During his second visit, Lewis showed that he was impressed with the program as he said, “Colorado has a lot of energy. Coach Prime is super positive and motivating. Talking to Coach Shurmur and Shedeur, they want me to make the best decision for me, but made it clear that I have the opportunity to play early.“
Recently, Colorado has been making the “We want JuJu” sound, with 99-year-old superfan Peggy Coppom taking the lead. Peggy said in their enticement video for the high-star QB, “We need you here in Colorado. Come on and get out here with us. Come out here in the best state in the union and help us win football games!” Will Julian Lewis fulfill the desires of the Buffs nation, or will he burst their bubbles with his commitment?
