Will JJ McCarthy get drafted before Jayden Daniels?’ The next big rumor swirling up the NFL sky. Scouts and head coaches at the NFL Combine have said and done it all. Their observations are heavily anticipated by fans till the NFL draft reveals it all late in April, during the 3-day event in Hart Plaza. With the Combine week all said and done, the players are expecting to receive a preferable landing spot. Especially the ones like JJ McCarthy, who is engaged in talks with 7 NFL Giants. JJ McCarthy’s name saw a steady rise during the NFL Combine week, resulting in a widespread increase in several analysts believing McCarthy to be a first-round pick. Not Keyshawn Johnson, though.

The ‘Undisputed’ host was exasperated by the idea of JJ McCarthy going before Jayden Daniels in the NFL draft. So much so that he didn’t think twice before asking, “What have you seen doing him at Michigan?” The line was enough to enrage the McCarthy masses. McCarthy and Co single-handedly turned a deaf ear to all the bitterly mean accusations hurled at them, won the Big Ten Championship thrice, and brought home the National Championship Trophy after 1997. With a career completion percentage of 68 with 6,226 yards passing, 49 passing touchdowns, 11 interceptions along with 632 rushing yards and 10 rushing scores, naturally, JJ McCarthy’s draft stock is going up. Until Keyshawn Johnson presented his view.

Johnson’s displeasure against McCarthy heightened only further after Bayless gave him McCarthy’s QB record of 27-1. A National Title was hardly the standard Johnson set for players to get drafted. “I understand he wanted a National Title. There are a lot of QBs who won a National Title. There’s a bunch of them. They didn’t get drafted as the first-round picks.” Johnson wasn’t running out of points to dethrone McCarthy as he countered Bayless’ argument. To give the ultimate edge to his argument, Johnson brought in the best of the examples from the NFL to make his point undefeatable.

Josh Allen was garbage: Keyshawn Johnson

“You know Josh Allen in Wyoming, he was garbage compared to what some other QB record-wise was in college football. But every year, we talk about Josh Allen to begin the season as a potential MVP category,” reasoned Johnson, to which Bayless had no other option than to drop his swords.

While Johnson might have called him ‘garbage’, Allen boasts pretty laudable college stats. During the 27 games he played, Allen scrimmaged for 5066 yards, 44 touchdowns, and 21 interceptions, cumulating his competition percentage at 56.2%. He also went 16-11, setting several Wyoming University records as well. Well, the soon-to-be MVP.
