The Chicago Bears have landed someone BIG as their No.1 pick. Fans and analysts know what a giant Caleb Williams is on the field. But it is now time for some more backup. TJ Houshmandzadeh was a guest on the latest YouTube podcast, All Facts No Brakes with Keyshawn Johnson episode.

The legendary Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver went all head over heels for Williams’ capabilities, so much so that he called out the quarterback for having “god-given ability.” Now the question is whether this ability will propel Williams to wave the winner flag in the Bears’ playoff run.

On the podcast, Houshmandzadeh chose to peel Williams’ capabilities layer by layer. While doing so, he came up with this analysis: “Caleb has an ability to keep plays alive. That’s just a god-given man that you can’t work on. That’s a god-given ability that he had… he tried to do it every play.”

As far as keeping plays alive is concerned, Williams possesses three traits: arm, accuracy, and touch. Having a truly elite arm to make throws from any platform to any part of the field makes him stand out. Besides showcasing his arm strength, he performs the throws accurately and with the right touch.

Apart from his physical traits that are indispensable for the game, his mental strength further adds to the quality of his plays. Williams hardly panics on the field and adjusts his throws, understanding the surroundings. Now that he is new to the Bears, his next big test is the playoff run.

High aspirations from Williams

Brothers Travis and Jason Kelce have taken up this point on their New Heights podcast. Travis seemed to hold high expectations from Williams, “It’s been a complete remodel this year for the Bears, and I think Caleb goes in there and makes them a better football team. I really do, man.” The Kansas City Chiefs tight end also drew comparisons between the quarterback and his teammate, Patrick Mahomes.

Williams stands a chance in the resemblance game based on his ability to throw on the run and make off-schedule throws. Sid Luckman was the last quarterback Ryan Poles’ program drafted in the first round and developed into an All-Pro. Hence, besides Luckman’s talent, the development process led to the ultimate return.

With this, the Bears putting Williams’ strengths to use will have to add a fine touch to his skills, providing him an edge in the playoff. Now that the Bears hold the longest playoff winless streak in the NFC North, will the quarterback be able to alter the narrative? Let your opinion pour in!
