It all rests in the hands of Carson Beck. He might have gotten a mock draft spot as a QB1, and he might have gotten a spot on EA Sports CFB 25 cover, but can he get an undefeated season? With the 12-playoff pressure looming above them, Georgia has a tough competition ahead as an expected top-seed this season. With that said, they also have a roster formidable enough to be expected to go lossless this season, with Carson Beck at its helm.

ON3’s JD Pickell believes if Kirby Smart and Co. want to go undefeated this season, Carson Beck will be their guy. While their roster would easily handle the other games, it would be in important clashes like Alabama and Texas, “he’ll gotta do,” as JD Pickell puts it. If this goes in Georgia’s favor, they might as well carry the streak that Michigan started in the last season of lifting the National Championship with an undefeated record.

As enormous of a responsibility as it might be, Carson Beck is perfectly aware of what he’s signing up for. ON3’s JD Pickell affirmed Beck’s response to being positive, knowing that his team would be counting on him. Instead of pressuring him, the responsibility rather became a driving force for him. “I’m the guy. If we’re gonna get where we wanna go, it starts right here with me at No. 15,” Beck asserted during the SEC media days.

With this much confidence on the line, Georgia would easily fight off its competitors and swiftly climb the ladder to the top. However, looking at the ‘unselfish culture’ that Kirby Smart is promoting, it won’t be just the team that would be sitting at the top.

Georgia’s head coach would not be leaving their pillar of support Carson Beck if they manage to make it to the top. If Georgia gets on top, Beck would also be getting on top of the Heisman Championship. Already a coveted No.1 and QB1 pick in the 2025 mock drafts, winning the Heisman Trophy this season would give the ultimate boost to Beck’s draft profile to cement these mock draft spots.

His head coach, Kirby Smart, believes in Beck’s abilities. In the same interview with ON3, Kirby Smart declared Beck to be his favorite among all the Heisman contenders this season. However, Beck should not get too inflated with the praise since his competitors are none less than the iconic (and fan-favorite) Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter. So, who do you think would make it to the Heisman throne this season?
