The compelling case of FSU’s snub from the playoffs list continues to grab headlines. This was a heartbreak moment for the Seminoles players who worked hard throughout the season. This was the first instance in recent college football history that a team lost a playoff spot by winning all their regular games.

What does it mean for the teams now? They’re not guaranteed a playoff spot just because they won all of their games! It was a polarizing decision, one that had no sound reasoning or any consensus. Yes, the CFP did conjure a statement saying that Jordan Travis’s injury propelled such a decision but it doesn’t do justice for FSU. Now the CFB Insider Bruce Feldman sat down with Rich Eisen to discuss the issue and added another dimension to the proceedings.

During the recent episode of Rich Eisen Show, the popular analyst called upon the CFB Insider as his guest. The distinguished spokesperson Rich Feldman joined the show and gave his narration of the events taking place in the NCAA playoffs. Feldman began by reiterating the fact that the FSU lost out on a well-deserved spot but once again highlighted the fact for the same. He spoke at length about how different teams were turning up in the weeks leading up to the playoffs. He pointed out an interesting piece of information.

Feldman said- “…But the committee couldn’t fathom the idea of not having an SEC champ in there, even with one loss. And, obviously the SEC has been the most dominant conference in college football for the last two decades. This has not been a great year for the SEC though. But the committee just couldn’t bear the thought of no SEC team and ultimately they screwed the Florida State.” The tensions are growing with Florida’s governor now involved.

Ron DeSantis to confront the hostility for the recent Alabama conference

Florida’s governor Ron DeSantis now joins the FSU’s playoffs snub conundrum. After having criticized the CFP decision on the same through a social media post last Sunday, things might heat up soon. The governor would be visiting the Alabama’s premises for the Republican primary debate later today and there would be some nerves jangling.

It was the SEC side Alabama that got the nod ahead to go into the playoffs in place of the FSU. DeSantis has further taken the frustration to a different level by including $1 million for litigation expenses. The playoffs robbery and its replacement aren’t sitting well with the governor.
