The son of renowned WR Marvin Harrison of the Indianapolis Colts, Marvin Harrison Jr. has impressed everyone with his high level of athleticism and speed. On the back of his strong performance at the collegiate level, he is on the top 5 list of many analysts. However, he faces stiff competition in the draft from other talents like Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, JJ McCarthy, Bo Nix, and Malik Nabers.

Ahead of the drafts, analysts and experts are divided upon the opinion of picking up talents. While many consider Mavin Harrison Jr. to be among the top 3, some experts do not think so. Hence, another expert analyst has jumped into the market to support Mavin Harrison Jr.’s case for the Arizona Cardinals.

Former Denver Broncos Cornerback, Domonique Foxworth was invited to the recent episode of the show NFL on ESPN. Along with Domonique Foxworth, NFL insider Dan Graziano and Football analyst Dan Orlovsky were present to discuss the upcoming NFL draft. During the discussion, Domonique Foxworth shed light upon one of the top picks, Marvin Harrison Jr.

While advocating for Marvin Harrison Jr., Foxworth put forth an important point for teams to consider. He said, “There’s a player in the draft right now, that is from Hall of Fame DNA and plays like a future Hall of Famer in the… in college right now,” Foxworth further added another key point for the teams to consider. He explained, “and [he] can impact the offence almost as much as a quarterback can.

Arizona Cardinals are slated to have the #4 pick in this year’s draft after the Bears, the Commanders, and the Patriots (in sequence). Hence, Foxworth recommended Cardinals go for Mavin Harrison Jr. despite being aware of their issues. He said, “I understand that the Cardinals have a lot of different issues that they need to address so they should listen for trade demands but it would take a lot for me to get off of the potential of having a player like this that shows the ability all-time great at his position.” But what are the issues before Arizona Cardinals ahead of the draft?

Different reasons lead to the downfall of Arizona Cardinals

Many considered the Cardinals to have the weakest roster in the league. With aggressive signings of free agents, they soon had an ageing squad that was chewing up on the financials. It affected their performance as they had little room for youth, which did not help them build players for key positions. As a result, they struggled against well-rounded teams.

The Cardinals also struggled with a quarterback, as Kyle Murray suffered from an injury-plagued season. On top of it, the new coaching staff with a coaching system, suffered from compatibility issues with the team due to a change in Philosophy. Hence, the Cardinals finished the season with a 4-13 record.
