Amongst the numerous coaching candidates re-shuffling, Coach Prime seems to hold on to his spot as the head coach of Colorado, despite failing to live up to his initial pompous promises. 

The Colorado Buffaloes failed to qualify for a playoff spot, leaving the head coach and managerial staff booking out for additional aid in the upcoming seasons to overcome the difficulties faced by the team in the current year. In a recent press meeting, the two-sport star addressed the possible way forward for his team and players. 

Colorado in need of ‘giving’

Deion Sanders asked the beneficiaries of Colorado University to consider making notable donations in pursuit of a constructive revamp in the upcoming season.We definitely need ‘giving.’ You know what I mean,” said Prime Time, getting quite straightforward as he addressed the lack of funds in Colorado. Colorado finishes the season 4-8, which is a considerable leap after the team managed to win just one game in 2022. The future helmed by Prime Time is still bright in Boulder.

Sanders envisions a bright future for the Colorado Buffaloes despite acknowledging the challenges in Year 1. He expressed his forward-looking perspective, emphasizing his awareness of the team’s strengths and weaknesses. After the Oregon game, he cautioned about the existing shortcomings and anticipated struggles.

“I know we’re lacking tremendously,” Coach Prime opines, drawing attention to the fact that he knew what facilities at the university were available and what was not. Sanders acknowledged the team’s vulnerabilities that opponents capitalized on, providing insight into the challenges faced in the early stages of his coaching tenure and how financial aid and adequate resources could foster the future of the football program at Boulder.

Deion Sanders has garnered ample attention with his high-profile coaching role at the Colorado Buffaloes, which has been pivotal in raising the amount the university owes him in fees. His lucrative five-year contract, valued at $29.5 million with an annual average of $5.9 million, places him among the top earners in college coaching. The contract includes specific buyout clauses if Sanders decides to leave the program during its duration.

Despite financial challenges in meeting his annual salary, Buffaloes athletic director Rick George is optimistic about securing the necessary resources. Sanders, with an estimated net worth of around $45 million, brings financial intrigue to his coaching tenure and hopes to draw enough funds that would allow him to helm the Colorado Buffaloes to playoffs the coming season.
