Julian Lewis’ visit to Colorado wasn’t just great, it was phenomenal! The 5-star quarterback received a hero’s welcome in Boulder. From enthusiastic young supporters to Peggy, the 99-year-old super fan, everyone held “welcome home” signs for Lewis. The love didn’t stop there; Lewis even got a delicious cheeseburger named after him in Colorado!

Although there is a lot of excitement around Lewis, Coach Prime and his staff have not solely focused on him. Colorado had several other 4-star recruits visiting, and it appears that many of them experienced a similar “warm welcome.”

Quanell Farrakhan Jr., a coveted receiver from North Shore, is another recruit impressed by his time with Coach Prime and his staff. He, like Lewis, visited the city and the football facilities this past weekend. In an interview with On3, he expressed feeling right at home in Colorado. “I loved it in Colorado,” he said to On3. “They made me feel like I was at home & I believe they can get me to the next level.”

Farrakhan Jr. specifically mentioned the quality time he spent with the coaches. He called Coach Prime “real” and expressed admiration for offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, highlighting his experience as a head coach in the NFL. Farrakhan Jr. believes Shurmur “knows what it takes to get me to the next level.”

Beyond football, Farrakhan Jr. raved about the delicious food he enjoyed at restaurants and the fun he had swimming in a Colorado lake. Interestingly, he visited UCLA just before Colorado, making his positive comments even more significant.

Whether this will be enough to secure his commitment, scheduled for July 13, remains to be seen. However, it appears the Buffaloes are making a strong case for attracting top talent.

Can Deion have the elite trio with Julian Lewis’ commitment?

Colorado secures another highly-rated recruit following a successful weekend impressing top QB Julian Lewis and WR Quanell Farrakhan Jr. Chauncey Gooden, a highly coveted 6″4′ offensive lineman, committed to the Buffaloes, becoming the team’s highest-ranked recruit. Gooden’s decision is a game-changer, given the strong interest he received from prestigious schools like Clemson. Deion Sanders’ team could experience a turning point with this commitment. Gooden, who has already proven his mettle at the Nashville Under Armour camp earlier this year and is generating a lot of buzz, is a player to watch. His commitment could influence Lewis and Farrakhan Jr. to consider Boulder.

Adding fuel to the fire, Julian Lewis also gave a positive outlook after his June 21 visit. He shared a poster featuring Buff’s QB1 Shedeur Sanders symbolically handing him the keys, and Lewis seemed eager to grab it from him. Now, this, along with Farrakhan Jr.’s praise, suggests both recruits could join Chauncey at Colorado soon.
