Jimbo Fisher did not expect what fate had in store for him on a nice Sunday Morning. Instead, he is expecting his liable hefty $19.2 million from A&M. On the other hand, the officials are expecting a new coach to lead the team towards the Championship in the following season, if not this. As one of the most desirable (and lucrative) spots has changed its status to vacant, all eyes are on the most desirable coach of the year, Deion Sanders.

Coach Prime’s record this season was not something he would boast about when talking about his career highlights. However, he would sure remember the lessons he taught and, more importantly, the ones he learned. Not only has Sanders created a brand out of the Boulders, he also has that Championship hope ignited in his fans, even though they lost six out of the past seven games this season.

Deion Sanders’ relationship with Colorado

Although Deion Sanders has been with the Buffs only for a season, Coach Prime has become synonymous with the University’s football team. With his several press conferences, Coach Prime has successfully created the Prime magic, one that the fans still hold on to believing the Buffs can make it. No doubt the modifications he made, like demoting Sean Lewis, gave the team a direction, despite being controversial. Even after all this, Deion Sanders and Co. couldn’t make it past the Wildcats this weekend.

Well, Colorado had only one win the last season. Whereas this season, they have 4. That’s a boost enough for the team. When a team with such potential is on the losing side, it saddens fans like me. Yet, they will get a chance to prove themselves once again against Washington and the most important ones: Utah, this season would not be enough. Hence, in my opinion, Sanders would rarely trade a chance at his redemption on the field for the financial resources that A&M has to offer.

Coach Prime and his players

Moreover, it’s also about the players he has forged this season. Coach Prime’s son and Buffs QB Sheduer Sanders are as dexterous as they come. But the two-time Super Bowl champion has polished him the right way to bring out the best in him. Furthermore, Sanders has talented players like Travis Hunter and others. Even if he makes his mind up to move to Texas A&M, he would have to shift all of his players, which might be something a lot more tricky, given the many current changes in the NFL transfer policy.

Hence, as per me, it would make no sense for Sanders to shift all of his players to the Texas team when they have just set foot with the Colorado team. I think that Coach Prime would simply skip another year of just getting his boys warmed up to the team (and facing losses because of that).

Even if Deion Sanders gets a highly lucrative offer?

Moving onto the cash flow Coach Prime can expect. Firstly, it is no secret that Texas can offer a very handsome deal to Deion Sanders if he says yes. But that is where the catch is. Coach Prime’s primary focus is not money, not at least in this season. Throughout the season, with all the improvement Deion Sanders has displayed on the field and all the efforts he has incorporated during the practice, Coach Prime’s priorities reflect clearly to me: bringing Colorado to the Championship.

Also, Deion Sanders’ net worth is approximated to be around $45 million. Given this and his motivation due to the bond he shares with the Colorado Buffs this season, it would take an insane amount of money just to get him to give a thought about the position. The amount would reach a point where practically any other person would gladly take up a job for half its price.

Texas A&M are not the only ones in the race

Well, this one goes without saying but, there are bigger names not just in the conference, but also in the league chasing after Coach Prime. And all these NFL teams could offer Sanders a lot more fame, exposure, and finances than any college football team, let alone Texas. The Prime name among these is the Raiders. The Raiders have displayed a substantial interest in hiring Deion Sanders as their head coach for quite a few years.

Dallas Cowboys is another team with potent players to reach the Super Bowl under expert guidance like Sanders. Moreover, teams like the LA Chargers and Washington are looking forward to getting in their forgotten charm, and also to get a big name on the team to get the extra sizzle. Well, the Patriots and the talk of college football Michigan Wolverines are on the lookout for new head coaches after their issues with their old ones.

All these things and Sanders would still choose his Buffs any day. Not just because he made his intentions clear about staying in college football, but also because of everything he has at stake with the Buffs. A season that was nothing less than a roller coaster, the dreadful silence of the locker rooms after they lost a game, the celebrations with his sons when they won, the confidence in the press conference of coming out better on the field at their next game, and everything in between. In a nutshell, Sanders would trade anything to keep the journey going with the Colorado Buffs.
