Is Deion Sanders Jr. tarnishing the Sanders legacy with his recent antics?

One of the main reasons why the Colorado Buffaloes’ program is so popular in the world of college football is due to the constant coverage it gets. The brand value is unlike we’ve ever seen from a college team and with the addition of Coach Prime in the mix, it is definitely a spectacle, despite their low strings of success. It’s all thanks to Deion Sanders Jr. and his YouTube channel, Well Off Media, and the constant churning out of content it does, but unfortunately, it’s being criticized today for breaching the privacy of Shedeur and Cam Ward.

Deion Sanders Jr., and his channel, provide deep intricate insights to the Colorado fans about their team’s training sessions and even close looks at the Sanders family in their homes as well as their trips. It’s safe to say that there are not a lot of boundaries when it comes to putting out content with Bucky but to film a heated argument between two players and then releasing it, supposedly as clickbait, is just a low blow. This is exactly what the NFL veteran, Shaun King had to say in his recent interview where he was seen talking about the viral incident.

On July 8th, 2024, the Coach JB Show with Big Smitty held a livestream that saw the former QB for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers diving deep into the controversial tussle between Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward. In doing so, he ended up calling out Bucky and his actions as he recorded the entire interaction between the two teammates.

King explained all his issues with the entire incident thoroughly. He first went on to emphasize that both Shedeur and Cam are “actually friends” and “there’s no animosity, it’s just competition.” Next, criticized Bucky’s channel, Well Off Media, and said, “Why in the hell is this being filmed? What is Well Off Media doing filming this?” Lastly, King went on to admit that he doesn’t think that Shedeur is putting a “lot of work in”, which may or may not be true since the QB has been seen consistently training with his team in Boulder. That being said, let’s take a look at Deion Sanders’ comments about the pros and cons of publicity that he made last year which fit in Bucky’s context today.

The Atlanta Falcons‘ legend has been a household name since his days in the NFL. Coach Prime is a brand that has been developing since his debut with the Colorado Buffaloes but ‘Prime Time’ has been Deion’s signature from back when he used to be a celebrity in the football world. As such, he’s no stranger to having a camera pointed in his face all the time but even Deion sometimes wishes that he’d have a little bit more privacy in his life.

During an interview with People Magazine, Deion talked about how publicity is sort of a necessary evil that takes away privacy but also adds to the popularity at the same time. He was heard saying, “You always wish that you had a little more privacy but the same thing that makes you shine will show your blemishes. So, you’ve got to take the good with the bad. You can’t just want everyone there when the hype machine is rolling, you have to understand there’s another side to this.” These words can definitely apply to Bucky’s mindset and how it could help him refrain from constantly filming intimate and private moments that can land his family members in trouble, as is what’s happening right now with the Sheduer-Cam ongoing feud.
