In a groundbreaking move, SoHoodie, the pioneer of stand-alone hoodies, announced its debut NIL partnership with Travis Hunter of Colorado Buffaloes. Hunter’s signature line, adorned with the slogan “I’m Him,” marks a significant milestone in his burgeoning career. Hunter follows the footsteps of head coach Deion Sanders who not too long ago hyped up both the popularity and sales of a brand dealing in one of his statement accessories.

Among college football players, Hunter stands out, with a massive following of over 2 million on social media platforms and an additional 286,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel. As a versatile player for Deion Sanders‘ Buffaloes at Colorado, Hunter’s impact extends far beyond the gridiron. Mike Baruch, serving as the CEO of SoHoodie, had some interesting things to say about the new partnership.

SoHoodie, created by The Game, is excited to enter the NIL market with a partnership featuring Travis Hunter, one of the top HBCU athletes. Travis Hunter’s commitment to an HBCU made him the first 5-star recruit to do so, aligning perfectly with SoHoodie’s mission to empower athletes both on and off the field. Travis Hunter’s partnership with SoHoodie has impressed CEO Mike Baruch with the athlete’s selflessness. Despite his successful NIL portfolio, Hunter promotes SoHoodie without seeking personal gain. Baruch appreciates Hunter’s transparency and professionalism, highlighting his responsiveness and dedication to the brand, “A lot of athletes have not really done that much on their own whether it’s NFL guys or certain individuals we’ve worked in the past, but Travis is one of one.”

Hunter expresses his appreciation for the opportunity to promote products he genuinely enjoys, “SoHoodie has been a really successful NIL deal so far, I love to promote the products I truly enjoy wearing.” With an On3 NIL Valuation of $2.3 million, Hunter’s partnership with SoHoodie underscores the value he brings to the brand. Looking ahead, SoHoodie aims to expand its collaboration with the Hunter family, considering adding Travis’s younger brother to their roster. When it comes to influencing a brand’s popularity and profitability through driving sales, Hunter only follows in the footsteps of his legendary head coach.

Deion Sanders hikes up sunglass sales post partnership

Deion Sanders, the head coach of Colorado, had previously partnered with Blenders for a line of sunglasses titled Blenders x Coach Prime. This collaboration followed remarks made by Colorado State coach Jay Norvell about Sanders’ eyewear choices, inadvertently driving attention and sales to the new collection. Despite the criticism, Sanders’ eyewear choices have spurred consumer interest, driving up sales as people seek out the brand he wears. Blenders founder and CEO Chase Fisher expressed excitement about the surge in sales, noting the perfect timing of the comment coinciding with the release of their collection.
