The New Year has brought certain bad news for the Atheltic Coast Conference. One of their teams is exiting the same by this month. There have been ongoing issues between the Seminoles and the ACC regarding granting of rights deal and FSU is losing patience. As reported by a CFB Insider in his latest tweet on the X platform, FSU could walk out sooner rather than later.

The earlier buyout was expected to be $527 million but will be way too less than this stipulated amount. The sole reason is that the ACC TV Contract was expected to expire by 2036 but now would be expiring in 2027. This will also reduce the amounts paid by FSU as part of the exit fee for their decision. For now, FSU is done with the ACC and will be seeking an eye out for other places.

This gave the Alabama Crimson Tide a controversial entrance into the 2023 playoffs. Now, with them moving out of the ACC, they could still head to three different places.
