Is Lane Kiffin going to be a Netflix star? JD Pickell wants this dream to turn into reality. To make it a reality, he tried convincing the entertainment industry giant Netflix to make a docu-series on Lane Kiffin. Pickell was still wondering why someone hadn’t already made one after the progress Ole Miss had made. So much so that it almost feels “criminal” to him.

First things first, Kiffin’s brilliant additions to the roster have already cemented Rebels’ roster as a formidable thing. The rebels have managed to put together the No. 1 transfer portal class nationally in May 2024. Kiffin has done a good job with recruits, making his defensive line strong with Walter Nolen and Princely Umanmielen. Along with them, DB Trey Amos and LB Chris Paul Jr. are also some powerful additions. The team’s talent is now on new heights with Kiffin securing a top-25 rank nationally for a 2024 high school/JUCO signing class.

Of course, we can’t forget about Kiffin’s humorous internet persona, the one who always replies to social media fans and posts funny tweets. However, Pickell’s reasoning for proposing the idea was for the fans to get to know the behind-the-scenes of Kiffin since he is a private person who doesn’t do many interviews. “Ultimately, you don’t see Lane Kiffin doing a lot of sit-down interviews. We reached out to Old Miss to try and get Lane Kiffin for a sit-down. It was like,’ Hey like we don’t don’t really do a whole lot of that’,” On3’s Pickell mentioned.

Hence, the docu-series would give Ole Miss fans a deep insight into the life of Lane Kiffin, the head coach who brought the 2019 Ole Miss 4-8 record to 11-2 in 2023. The head coach under whose reign Ole Miss Rebels are expected to make it straight to the 2024 season National Championship.

Lane Kiffin to make it to the National Championship?

The early odds for the regular season are in, and looking at the likes of it, Lane Kiffin and Co. would most likely make it to the playoffs. However, looking at the competitors like Texas and Ohio State along with 10 other teams gunning for the National Championship, per the updated CFB system. Making it to the last stage and securing a place in the top 4 would be the real challenge here.

Per FanDuel Sportsbook’s latest odds, Rebels sit at +1500 odds for said championship, alongside rival LSU. Rebels’ nucleus also looks solid with QB Jaxson Dart, WR Jordan Watkins, and TE Caden Prieskorn are the players that Kiffin is falling back on. With all the new additions, setting up the new culture would be an immediate pressing challenge for Kiffin.
